Introducing Krobr: your own storefront and order app, without commissions

Krobr gives restaurants and shops their own online storefront and an order app, for a package fee instead of a commission on every order.

Running a small restaurant or shop is hard work. You cook, you buy stock, you pay staff, you answer the phone, and somewhere in between you reply to a dozen WhatsApp messages asking "menu bhej dein?" or "is this available in medium?"

We built Krobr for owners like you. Krobr gives your business its own online storefront and a simple app to manage the orders that come in. You pay a package fee, not a commission on every order.

This post introduces what Krobr is, who it is for, and how it works.

Why we built Krobr

Across Pakistan, small businesses already sell online. They just do it the hard way. Orders arrive as voice notes, screenshots and DMs. Prices get typed again and again. An order for two zinger burgers and a large fries gets lost in a busy chat. At the end of the day, nobody is quite sure how many orders came in or which ones were paid.

Owners who want something more organised often face a difficult choice. They can pay a developer to build a website, which takes time and money. Or they can join a platform that takes a cut of every order, which eats into already thin margins.

We think there should be a better option. One where the business owns its online presence, keeps its margin, and gets proper tools to run the day without needing technical skills.

What Krobr gives you

Your own storefront

Every business on Krobr gets its own storefront on its own Krobr web address, which is a krobr.com subdomain. Customers open the link, browse your menu or products, pick what they want and place an order.

You start from one of 17 ready-made themes. Each theme has a live demo you can try on the themes page. Then you edit the design visually, adding your logo, colours, photos and text, until it feels like your shop.

If you want a custom subdomain name, such as your shop's name, that needs a Pro package or above. You can also connect a domain you already own, which is a paid add-on on Pro and above.

Krobr Partner, your store app

Krobr Partner, at manage.krobr.com, is where you run the store day to day. It brings everything into one place:

  • Orders queue. New orders arrive in one list, and you move each one through its steps until it is done.
  • Menu and catalog. Add items, prices, options and add-ons, or products with variants and stock levels.
  • Opening hours and status. Set your weekly hours, switch on busy mode, pause orders for a while, or mark a temporary closure.
  • Dayparts. Show different menus at different times of day, such as breakfast and dinner.
  • Snooze sold-out items. Hide an item until it is back, without deleting it.
  • Promotions. Run offers in your store. When more than one could apply, the single best promotion is used, so discounts never stack by accident.
  • Reviews. Customers can rate finished orders. You can reply, and hide abusive reviews.
  • Reports. See how your store is doing.
  • Team members. Invite staff and choose what each person can see and do.

Phone apps for orders and stock

Each store also gets two focused apps you can install on a phone: an Orders app and a Stock app. The Orders app sends push notifications when a new order arrives, so you do not have to keep a browser tab open all day. The install apps guide shows how to add them to your home screen.

How orders work

Delivery, pickup, dine-in and reservations

You choose which ways customers can order:

  • Delivery, with the cities and areas you serve.
  • Pickup, for customers who collect their order.
  • Dine-in, for guests already at a table.
  • Table reservations, for customers who want to book ahead.

Payments that match how Pakistan pays

Krobr supports cash on delivery and pay by bank transfer. With bank transfer, the customer pays straight into your bank account, and you confirm the payment in Krobr Partner once you have checked it. Krobr does not hold your money.

After ordering, each customer gets a private order status link. They can check where their order is without calling you. That means fewer "bhai, order kahan hai?" calls during the dinner rush.

Built for restaurants and shops

Krobr works for two kinds of businesses today.

Restaurants can build menus with options and add-ons, such as a pizza in small, medium or large, with extra cheese or a drink.

Shops can list products with variants, such as size and colour, and track stock levels. Krobr warns you when stock runs low, so you can reorder before you sell out.

Service businesses such as salons and tutors are launching soon. If that is you, you can join the waitlist.

Bring customers to your store

A storefront only helps if people find it. Krobr includes tools for that too.

Print tools. In Krobr Partner you can make QR code posters, business cards and printed menus that point straight to your store, ready to export as a PDF.

Krobr Marketplace. At marketplace.krobr.com, shoppers can discover stores from across Krobr in one place. Being listed needs a paid package, and you control the listing from your store Settings in Krobr Partner.

Simple packages, no commission

Krobr has four packages: Free, Pro, Business and Premium. Every new account starts on Free, so you can set up your store and see how it works.

The Free package allows one store and up to 20 orders a month, with three QR codes. It does not include a marketplace listing. Pro allows up to 2,000 orders a month, and the higher packages add more. You can compare everything on the pricing page.

The important part is how we charge. Krobr charges a package fee. We do not take a percentage of your orders. Whether a customer orders one cup of chai or a full family feast, the order is yours.

Your language, your customers' language

Krobr's screens are available in English, Roman Urdu, Roman Pashto, Roman Punjabi and Turkish. Each store chooses the language of its storefront, so you can speak to your customers the way they speak.

Help when you need it

Not everyone wants to set up a store alone, and that is fine. Krobr works with support partners who can help owners get set up, and who can collect package payments in cash if that is easier for you.

Our public help guides also walk through every step, from creating a store to managing orders.

Getting started

Here is what a typical first day looks like:

  1. Create your account and your first store.
  2. Pick a theme and add your logo and colours.
  3. Add your menu items or products, with prices.
  4. Choose delivery, pickup, dine-in or reservations, and set up cash on delivery or bank transfer.
  5. Publish your store and share the link on WhatsApp and Instagram.
  6. Print a QR poster for your counter.

In short

Krobr is your own online storefront and order app in one. Customers get a clean place to order and a link to track it. You get one app to run orders, menus, hours, promotions, reviews and your team, with phone apps that alert you to new orders. And you pay a package fee, not a commission. We are glad you are here, and we cannot wait to see what you build.
